This issue of Tribes Magazine documents the collaboration between two Lower East Side / East Village not-for-profit art spaces – A Gathering of the Tribes, the magazine and salon started in 1991 by blind poet, playwright, novelist, retired professor and curator Steven Cannon, and FusionArts Museum, started in 1987 by fusionism artist Shalom Neuman.
