The Van Der Plas gallery specializes in offering representational art of local and transplanted European artists of worldwide reputation, exploring and celebrating the themes of New York City and its unique and exciting attractions. Our most recent shows were "The BESTiary," featuring the works of mentally handicapped/challenged artists from Holland and other "outsider" and "insider" artists, and "Mystical City," an exhibition and event concept created by artists from the Mysticism in Art movement.
The Van Der Plas Gallery, which began in 1989 as a pushcart at the Pier-17 South Street Seaport shopping mall, is located in the center of New York City legendary South Street Seaport, Pier 17 on the second floor in the mall.
